Getting to The Joe Residence from Malta International Airport (MLA):
The studio is conveniently located in the heart of St. Julian's, just a short walk from Spinola Bay and Paceville nightlife. The transfer takes 20–40 minutes, depending on traffic and your chosen option.
Option 1: Ride-Hailing Apps (Recommended – Fastest & Most Convenient) Download one of these popular apps before arrival: Bolt, Uber, or eCabs (the local Maltese app – highly reliable).
- At the airport, request a ride directly to 'The Joe Residence'.
- Journey time: 15–25 minutes.
Option 2: Public Bus (Cheapest) Direct express buses run frequently from right outside the Arrivals hall.
- Take the TD2 (fastest direct to St. Julian's – ~30 minutes) or TD3 (slightly longer, ~35 minutes, with more stops).
- Buy tickets onboard (cash/contactless) or from the Malta Public Transport desk in Arrivals.
- Get off at 'Ross' or 'San Giljan''
- From there, it's a pleasant 1–3 minute walk: we will send the exact pin/location before your arrival day.

Environmental Contribution (Malta)
As required by Maltese law, an environmental contribution applies to all guests aged 18 years and over.
For stays with arrival dates up to 30 June 2026:
€0.50 per person per night, capped at €5 per person per continuous stay (applies to the first 10 nights only).
For stays with arrival dates from 1 July 2026 onwards:
€1.50 per person per night, capped at €22.50 per person per continuous stay (applies to the first 15 nights only).
Please note: due to system limitations, the automatically calculated amount may not always reflect the legal cap precisely.
